30 Day Meditation Challenge - Start 2016 off Right!
Meditating daily has changed my life and it can help you be happier, less stressed and more emotionally stable. Whether your goal is learning to concentrate, reduce anxiety or grow spiritually, a meditation practice can give you the tools for a better life.
The Zen Happiness Project is a community dedicated to helping beginners learn about meditation and wellness and is 100% free. During the 30 Day Meditation Challenge we will...
- get daily emails with tips and encouragement,
- stream live online tutorials,
- host weekly meditation groups by conference call and skype, and
- participate in an online community dedicated to meditation and wellness.
I started meditating in 2007 and in 2014 I completed my Master's in Education where I focused on habit formation, commitment devices and motivation. During the course of my research I worked with new meditators to help them increase their ability to meditate daily and benefit from a life of less stress and more joy.
I look forward to sharing what I learned with you.

Founder & Lead Instructor
Anthony Cernera founded the Zen Happiness Project in 2013. Anthony started meditating in 2007 and took formal vows as a student of a Zen Buddhist order in 2009.
When he isn't meditating, skydiving or playing with his cameras, Anthony is a non-profit fundraiser. He received a Master's in Education in 2014 and continues his research as doctoral student focusing on habit formation and motivation for new meditators.
Anthony says, "I have benefited greatly from a daily meditation practice and want to share what I've learned with others."

Hey - Why is this all free?
Because this is my chance to give back what was freely given to me!
I have a professional life as a non-profit fundraiser. I have a good paycheck, benefits and a roof of my head. I was raised in a family where volunteerism was always a part of our life. Today, I find great joy in being a volunteer for a local hospice and by helping introduce others to meditation.
Also, I love this stuff. It is fun for me to talk about, think about and practice meditation. I'm not an enlightened teacher, I can only help you get started. I hope what we do together gets you to sit daily on your own, inspires you to meditate with others and possibly find a teacher or retreat center where you can take your practice to the next level. - Anthony
